Submission to Senate Select Committee on Autism
Advocacy is a big part of the role our Board of Directors play in working towards our Vision: Improving the life outcomes of people on the autism spectrum.

As April is Autism Awareness Month, we are busy preparing to celebrate 'Autism is our Super Power Day' on Thursday 4th April.
On this day we encourage our young people and community to dress up as their favourite superhero or in something that expresses their special interest.

The Sycamore School opened in 2017, and currently provides primary school education (Prep to Year 6) for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The school recently received approval from the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board to expand into High School education from next year. In 2019, Sycamore will provide educational pathways for students with autism in Years 7 to 8. The year 2020 will see Year 9 introduced, followed by Year 10 in 2021.
